Bloomberry Resorts Corporation is poised to debut a new electronic gaming platform by the second quarter of 2025. This initiative is part of the company’s strategy to recover revenue affected by the exit of Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs).
Chairman and Chief Executive Enrique Razon stated that the platform is undergoing its final testing phase and is expected to become operational in late May or early June. This new product is intended to work in conjunction with their existing Solaire Online service, with the aim of expanding Bloomberry’s reach within the broad mass market gaming segment.
Razon explained that the strategic shift towards online gaming is a key component of Bloomberry’s broader plan to compensate for income lost due to the POGO prohibition, which was implemented in July last year. He added that digital gaming is seen as a vital long-term growth driver, complementing the company’s established land-based resort operations.
Furthermore, Bloomberry is investing in its forthcoming integrated resort, Solaire North. This development is being positioned to capitalize on future growth opportunities within the domestic market. Razon conveyed optimism regarding the nation’s economic outlook, referencing projections by government economic officials who forecast annual gross domestic product growth between 6% and 8% through 2028.
With disposable income levels projected to rise, the company anticipates an increase in discretionary spending that could benefit the gaming sector. Razon also expressed approval of government efforts designed to attract international tourists, including the introduction of a tax refund program specifically for foreign visitors.
Looking ahead, Bloomberry’s objectives include revitalizing growth at Solaire Entertainment City, achieving profitability with Solaire North, and significantly expanding its presence in the digital gaming realm.
With income levels expected to rise, the firm anticipates increased discretionary spending that may benefit the gaming sector. Razon welcomed government efforts to attract international tourists, including the introduction of a tax refund programme for non-resident visitors.
